Vocabulary
Vocabulary is based upon an oligosynthetic system where the lexicon is minimized to a small number of morphemes, mostly with very general meanings. These morphemes are combined to compound words with meanings that are more specific. This leaves the student with only a small number of learning units to remember, with the rest of the vocabulary made up from these small building blocks. The labels used for each morpheme are based upon a phonosemanic schema. Outlined here is the schema used to form basic morphemes from initial+final components.
Phonosemantic Schema
Terms marked in grey are temporary.

Compounding
Compound words are formed by using two or more existing words to create a new word.
Gradation
In English, we use words like "small", "big", "tiny", "miniscule" or "gigantic". These all relate to one common theme having to do with physical size or volume. Here we have only a morpheme (ja) to indicate "size" which is combined with other morphemes which define the degree.
Anything which is greater than normal or expected uses the morpheme ju .
- jaju = big, large (size+great)
Anything which is less than normal or expected uses the morpheme pi .
- japi = small, little (size+little)
The degree can be intensified with the morpheme fa .
- jajufa = very big, very large, giant, gigantic (size+great+more)
- japifa = very small, very little, tiny, miniscule (size+little+more)
The degree can be diminished with the morpheme lo.
- jaju lo = kind of big, kind of large (size+great+less)
- japi lo = kind of small, kind of little, small-ish (size+little+less)
To show something which is at it's maximum use the morpheme cau .
- jajucau = biggest, largest (size+great+maximum)
- japicau = smallest, littlest (size+little+est)
To show something which is at it's minimum use the morpheme nai .
- jajunai = least big (size+great+least)
- japinai = least small (size+little+least)
Anything which is complete devoid of a quality uses the morpheme ni .
- jani = empty, void (size+less)
